Engineering Graphicsis a discipline focused on the expression, exchange, and transmission of engineering and product information. Engineering drawings serve as the carrier of such information and function as the language for communicating technical ideas within the engineering field. This course is characterized by rigorous theory and strong practicality, closely linked to engineering practice. It plays a vital role in helping students master scientific thinking methods and enhancing their engineering and innovation awareness, making it an essential technical foundation course across various disciplines in engineering universities.

The Engineering Graphics course team is a core component of the "Mechanical Fundamentals and CAD Experimental Teaching Center," a provincial-level experimental teaching demonstration center in Jiangsu Province.

Building on the development of national and provincial key disciplines in the School of Mechatronic Engineering, the course team has, through the dedicated efforts of several generations, established a profound historical foundation and achieved remarkable results. In 2007, Engineering Graphics was recognized as aNational-Level Elite Course, and in 2014, it received the approval for theNational-Level Elite Resource Sharing Courseproject.
