In the afternoon of October 17, the sub-forum of 2025 "Yueqi Forum" for International Young Scholars was held in Conference Room A501 of the Mechanical and Electrical Building. It was co-hosted by the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering and the State Key Laboratory of Intelligent Mining Equipment Technology.The leaders attending thesub-forumincludedWu Song, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School; Zhou Gongbo, Dean of the School; Han Fushun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee; Hu Weixin, Vice Dean; Wang Dagang and Cheng Yanhai, Deputy Directors of the School's Professor Committee. The forum was hosted by Dean Zhou Gongbo.
On behalf of the School, Dean Zhou Gongbo extended a warm welcome to young scholars participating in the "Yueqi Forum" and introduced the School's disciplines and specialties, faculty, scientific research, talent cultivation, and other aspects. He stated that the School has always firmly established the concept that talent resources are the primary resource for career development, and has built a sound teaching and research platform and working environment for the growth and development of young talents. He expressed the expectation that outstanding young talents would choose China University of Mining and Technology and jointly create a bright future with the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.
Five outstanding scholars from Jilin University, Harbin Institute of Technology, Southeast University, Zhejiang University, Xi'an Jiaotong University and other universities successively introduced their respective research fields and achievements, and had in-depth exchanges with the attending leaders and teachers on relevant issues.
As an important part of the university-level "Yueqi Forum", this sub-forum has built a platform for in-depth exchanges for outstanding young scholars to innovate and start businesses in the School. It will surely promote the high-quality development of the School's discipline construction and faculty team.
